New York City's children
exposed to flood risk

Angeles Martinez, Geunhee Lee

The project seeks to analyze the exposure to flood risk of the school facilities and highlight the current capital budget the New York City's local government is spending to build new schools and improve existing schools.

Natural hazards cause a direct impact on students and teachers, damaging and destroying the school infrastructure. In the aftermath of a disaster, the education service is disruptive, impacting the school operations, learning, and teaching processes.
